A fecal occult blood test is used as an early screening test for colorectal cancer. It may also be used to diagnose other conditions that cause bleeding in the digestive tract.

Pre-Information

For 3 days before the test avoid large doses of drugs like Aspirin, NSAIDs, Vitamin C, Poultry, Fish, Red Meat, Raw fruits & vegetables like Melons, Raddish, Turnips and Horseraddish.
