Significance of Each Test in Advanced Suraksha Package

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC/Hemogram): It is a blood test that measures the concentration, volume, and size of all-blood components, including red blood cells, hemoglobin, white blood cells, and platelets.
  • Erythrocytes Sedimentation Rate/Sed Rate: Your red blood cells may be sinking more quickly than usual during an ESR test, which could indicate that you have an inflammatory medical condition. Your test result's speed indicates the degree of inflammation you have. Faster the ESR rate, the more severe the inflammation. However, an ESR test alone is unable to identify the underlying cause of the inflammation.
  • Complete Urine Examination Automation: This test helps in urinary tract screening, diagnosing, and monitoring a wide range of disorders associated with the kidneys and urinary tract.
  • Glucose (Fasting): This test is used to analyze your diabetes status (non-diabetic, prediabetic, or diabetic) based on your blood sugar levels after fasting for around 10-12 hours.
  • Glycated Hemoglobin (HbA1c): This test helps to determine your average blood sugar (glucose) level over the previous two to three months. It helps to confirm your diabetic status and monitor your control over blood sugar levels.
  • Lipid Profile: This blood test helps to determine your total blood cholesterol level, HDL-cholesterol (good cholesterol), and the level of LDL-cholesterol (bad cholesterol). It can help to analyze your risk of getting high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, and other heart diseases.
  • Liver Function Test (LFT): It helps to determine the levels of various substances (enzymes and pigments) produced by your liver, giving important information about your liver health and liver function.
  • Kidney Function Test (KFT): It helps to determine whether your kidneys are functioning efficiently or not. In this test, the efficiency of the kidneys in eliminating body waste is analyzed.
  • Iron Profile: It is done to assess the levels of iron in the blood. Iron forms the major component of hemoglobin (oxygen carrying protein in the blood) and various other vital proteins. It includes Serum Iron (Fe), Total Iron Binding Capacity and % Transferrin Saturation and more.
  • Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin): Vitamin B12 plays a critical role in various metabolic processes in the body and energy generation. This test helps in determining the levels of this vitamin.
  • 25- Hydroxy Vitamin D3: Vitamin D3 is important for various body functions especially calcium absorption and bone strengthening. This test helps in determining the levels of this vitamin.
  • Calcium: Calcium is an important mineral that helps in nerve conduction and bone strengthening. This test helps in determining the levels of this mineral.
  • Phosphorus: Phosphorus is vital for body growth, maintenance, cell repair of all tissues, and genetic material synthesis. This test helps in determining the levels of this mineral.
  • Magnesium: Magnesium is critical for various body functions, including regulating muscle and nerve function, blood pressure, and blood sugar levels. It also helps in DNA synthesis. This test helps in determining the levels of this mineral.
  • Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH): This test is used to assess any tissue damage. Various acute or chronic conditions result in tissue damage, resulting in high LDH levels. Therefore, this LDH testing may be used to analyze certain bone and muscle injuries and monitor cancer treatment.
  • Lipoprotein A: This test is done to get a better picture of your risk for various heart diseases.
  • Apolipoprotein Ratio (Apolipoprotein B, Apolipoprotein A1, Apolipoprotein B/A1): This test is also done to better analyze the risk of getting heart disease.
  • High Sensitivity Troponin I (Heart Secure Test): It is mainly done to diagnose heart attacks. Heart attacks cause damage to heart muscles by suddenly blocking the blood flow and oxygen supply to a portion of the muscle. Troponin is a protein present in heart muscles. Its volume increases in the blood when heart muscle damage occurs.
  • Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA): It is primarily used to screen for prostate cancer by measuring the amount of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in the blood. It is done only for men.
  • HPV 16 & 18 DNA Test: It helps in detecting the DNA of high-risk types of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) in women’s bodies. It helps in assessing the risk of developing cervical cancer and other HPV-related cancers in women.
  • High Sensitive CRP: It is done to measure the levels of C-reactive proteins in the blood with high sensitivity. This protein is released by the liver in the body when inflammation occurs. Therefore, this test helps in determining inflammation levels in the body.
  • Free Thyroid Profile (FT3, FT4, TSH): This test helps in measuring the thyroid hormone levels in free form. It helps to determine whether the thyroid hormone levels are in a normal range or not.

Preparation for Advanced Suraksha Package

  • You need to fast for at least 10-12 hours before giving samples for this comprehensive testing.
  • Drink adequate water before sample collection.
  • Avoid vigorous physical activity before the sample collection.
  • Follow the preparatory instructions as guided by your doctor.

Sample Collection for Advanced Suraksha Package

For a Urine Sample
  • For a Urine Sample, you need to get your sample collected in a clean Urine container provided by the lab.
For a Blood/Serum/Plasma Sample
  • The area where the needle will be inserted to take your blood is cleaned with an antiseptic alcohol wipe. The hollow on the inside side of the elbow or the tip of the finger are the most common sites for this.
  • A tourniquet or a band is tied around your upper arm to facilitate access to the vein in your arm.
  • A needle is used to puncture your vein. The blood sample is collected into a test tube attached to the needle. The needle may cause a small pinch or sting when it is inserted.
  • Once the vial or test tube is filled, the blood sample collection for the test is finished, and the needle is taken out.
  • Finger pressure is applied to the puncture site to stop the bleeding, and the bandage is applied at the site.
