Description

Qualitative detection of progesterone receptor protein in a diagnostic setting. Progesterone receptor is a hormone receptor localized within the nucleus. It is highly expressed in the epithelial cells of the breast and endometrium, and smooth muscle cells of the uterus. This antibody is used along with that for estrogen receptor to assess hormonal responsiveness in breast cancer.
