Cancer antigen 125 (CA 125) is a glycoprotein typically found in tissues derived from coelomic epithelia, including the ovary and peritoneum. It is elevated in women with advanced epithelial ovarian cancer in Post-surgery and chemotherapy, elevated CA 125 levels indicate likely residual disease, but normal levels do not exclude the possibility of recurrence.
