Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) are characterized by clonal proliferation of one or more hematopoietic lineages, predominantly in the bone marrow but sometimes in liver & spleen. The acquired mutations result in disordered haematopoiesis. There is a terminal myeloid cell expansion into the peripheral blood. This assay includes BCR/ABL, PDGFRA, PDGFRB, JAK2 and FGFR1 gene rearrangements screening.
