The factor VII assay is a blood test to measure the activity of factor VII. This is one of the proteins in the body that helps the blood clot.
Overnight fasting is required. Before to sampling, it is advised that the patient stop using oral anticoagulants for seven days and heparin for one day, respectively. Discontinuation should only be done with the treating physician permission.
