An Antinuclear Antibody (ANA) test checks your Blood for ANA. Autoantibodies are a type of Antibodies known as ANAs. Similar to other antibodies our own immune system is responsible for the production of these antibodies. Healthy antibodies defend the body against bacteria and viruses but autoantibodies attack healthy cells and tissues by mistake which leads to various disorders.
