Pharmacokinetic studies have suggested that cyclosporine levels at 2 hours postdose (C2) is the best single time point to predict area under the concentration curve (AUC) in kidney transplant recipients. C2 also predicted acute rejection episodes and nephrotoxicity better than trough levels (C0).
The ideal time to sample is just before the next dose (Trough levels).
