SEMEN FRUCTOSE (QUANTITATIVE)

Sample Required

Collect semen in a sterile, screw-capped container.

Preparations Required

The specimen should be delivered to the lab within 1 hour of collection. Condoms are not permitted for collection. The patient should avoid ejaculation for 2-7 days (ideally 3 days) before the test. Collection must be done through masturbation. Before collecting, the patient should urinate, clean the genital area with warm water, dry thoroughly, and ensure the entire ejaculate is collected
