What is the Purpose of the T.e.c. ?
The Total Eosinophil Count Test, or T.E.C. Test, counts the amount of White Blood Cells called Eosinophils in the blood. As they react to
Autoimmune Disorders, Malignancies, Microbial Infections, and Allergy reactions, Eosinophils are vital components of the Immune system. They only proliferate when the body needs them to protect it, like during an Allergic reaction or an infection. Eosinophil counts usually drop back to minute levels after serving their protective purpose. The T.E.C. Test aids in the assessment of the severity and directs treatment decisions for a number of illnesses, including Eosinophilic Disorders, Allergies,
Asthma, and Infections.
