Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) is one of the most common adult leukemias with almost 10,000 new cases diagnosed every year. It also comprises 15% of pediatric Acute leukemias. Several subtypes of AML have been recognised - AML (M0 to M7). In addition several recurrent chromosome anomalies have been linked to subtypes of AML (60% of AML cases). This test is useful for the diagnosis of AML.
