Total Acid Phosphatase levels tend to increase in cases of advanced or metastatic prostate carcinoma, with the elevation reflecting the disease's progression. Elevated levels may also be present in conditions such as Gaucher's disease, Niemann-Pick disease, or following procedures like prostate surgery, biopsy, or manipulation. Other conditions like Benign Prostate Hyperplasia, Prostatitis, and Prostate Infarction can also result in raised levels.
