What is the ANA - IFA Test ?
Evaluating patients at-risk for antinuclear antibodies-associated systemic autoimmune rheumatic disease particularly systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjogren syndrome, and mixed connective tissue disease. ANA may rarely also be detectable following
viral illnesses, in chronic infections, or in patients treated with many different medications.

- Overnight fasting is preferred before the ANA - IFA Test.
- Other blood tests can be carried out in addition to a ANA - IFA Test. If your doctor advises you to have multiple tests at once, they may ask you to fast for a specific period of time prior to a blood test.
